Coffee Table Reads

Hello,
So today's blog post is very different! I have decided to focus on something other than fashion, BOOKS! I don't know about you, but sometimes I just want a light easy ready and not delve into a 30 chapter book. I must admit I enjoy going somewhere with these sorts of easy books to read whilst you are waiting can there's something about them that can cheer you up. Here are my favourite  light easy reads.

I like to keep my books on my window because I don't actually own a coffee table (oops) They are also so easy just to pick up if you cant sleep and need something to calm you!

7) This book is so fun! Although non photography lovers probably wont read this, it was fun colourful pictures and easy (non pro) tips! Even for the non photographers they contain amazing photographs so it is perfect for all.

6) Probably the most famous blogger book ever! It has been raved about so much, apart from the beautiful front cover and gorgeous shade of ballet pink the book it's self is very well written. It's mainly a biography but I love to look through at all the photos she has put together are stunning.

5) This book is honestly a life saver. Doing a shoot a week for photography Alevel can be draining and more often than not I experience a creative block *enters this book*. Its is so lovely to flick through and gain ideas even if you are not a budding photographer. I adore the home Diys you can do and the easy, simple projects for those rainy days inside.

4) Of course I had to mention this book! It is definitely one of my go to books. It covers every single topic a girl could ask for! I really enjoy reading the fashion section which contains her favourite staple items which is great of you are looking to revamp your style and reading about Tanya's experiences with anxiety is great support for anyone experiencing these difficulties.

3) Very similar to Tanya Burr (and I'm sure all other books realised by beauty-gurus) this is also my go to book. I love the  makeup section it really makes want to be more adventurous with my make up.... that is until I wake up in a hurry and just slap on foundation and mascara. (woops)

2) Honestly a really funny book. I find myself laughing so much at the suggestions made in this book. It is so easy to read with just a line a page telling you how to piss people off. I often imagining doing some of the stuff, it makes you feel a lot better I promise!

1) Finally this little guy. This was a handbag essential for me until I read it all. Its just gives you an activity to do each day to make you feel better. Sometimes just to take a few seconds to breathe or going on a five minute walk, this book will help you become a better person!

Happy reading!

Chris Bulezuik - Fashion Flight

Hello,
Today I am going to be sharing the fantastic photography of Chris Bulezuik. I have been a fan of his work for a while now and look forward to seeing his creations pop upon my newsfeed. He is able to capture a moment perfectly as his photographs have depth and meaning, instead of just being the standard staged fashion shoot.

I love the detail in the mask contrasted with the bare skin. It really emphasises the detail of the mask. I also like the contrast between the dark, moody vibe and the Lacey, girly  mask which suggests that the model is no longer seen as innocent.

The most obvious reason I love this photo is the constant between monochrome and bright neon pink. I may be wrong but the way I interpret this shoot is that the model is trying to be free from monotony and the dullness of everyday life. The neon feathers resemble  a bird which makes us think of freedom. I also admire the makeup used, the high, flicked shadow also resembling birds wings.
These two pictures are portrayed as having a gothic atmosphere. The Raven  feathers used suggests negativity. Ravens are known as deadly predators, they always win and see other species as predictors. Therefore, this picture shows this woman's power over others. You could possibly go as far to suggests woman's new power in believing that they are equal to men.

As you can see his work is incredible. I adore how he has managed to capture the mood and
atmosphere perfectly.

Leopard Vibes!

Hello,
So today's post is a little bit different! As per usual I am going to post my OOTD but I would also like to inspire you to dig through your wardrobe and create a new look. Who says you need to keep buying clothes? I say have a look closer to home! I had completely forgot I owned this roll neck top from Topshop, when I found it I knew I wanted to pair it with a skirt.I am the skirt queen... a whole section of my wardrobe is skirts! This grey marl skirt is from the H&M online sale for £8. I then decided to pair it with my leopard coat (also H&M sale) because I wanted to add something that will make this whole look stand out. I then went on the pair this look with a red lippy!

London baby

Hello, So todays OOTD post is inspired by London. Going to London is a real treat so I always plan my outfit! Especially because LFW is currently happening. My whole outfit is from H&M. The dress is a bit out of my comfort zone, but my friend told me to for it and I am so glad I did. I wanted to keep this look simple, so I paired it with a floppy hat! As I was in London, I wanted to wear sensible but stylish shoes, so I went for my flat ankle boots, they have laces and buckles (not great when trouser shopping) Finally I wore a mac red lip, because I felt it needed a pop of colour, and red is always a great choice because its such a bold, rich colour, it also works great with black and white!

Can I spy spring?

Hello lovelies,
So we are now well into the chilly month of February. Christmas has come and gone and we enter the season to not be jolly! But don't fear! Light is at the end of the tunnel. Shops have started to stock up spring gear and the winter-spring transition has begun!

MY LOOK
Jumper - H&M
Skirt - H&M
Tights - (not sure but 200 denier)
Bag- H&M
Bracelet - Pandora
Shoes - River Island

The reason I love this look so much is because its so comfy! Its perfect for throwing on for work or school! I paired this slouchy jumper with thick tights and a basic black tube skirt! When we see the sun again I will pair this with 40D tights instead of 200D, this means the tights are transparent, which definitely breaks the look up! I then paired my leopard pumps from river island and my fringed bag from H&M. This look is perfect for the WS transition because it just adds some subtle pops of colour but nothing bright or loud.

Goodbye,
Love

Ankle Boots

Hello,
Lovely to see you all again! I really am enjoying writing blog posts! This is about my ankle boot collection, I love wearing ankle boots especially in the winter because they keep you warm whilst looking stylish, which is always a nice bonus!

These boots are such a statement piece! This SS fringe/tassels are going to be huge! I feel like having fringed boots just adds an extra depth and detail to your outfit! These boots are sooooooo comfortable! Honestly, they feel like I am wearing slippers! These are from H&M sale, so I don't think they have them anymore, but keep and eye out because fringed shoes are going to be huge!

Again ,these shoes are from H&M a while ago! but I adore them. I love the detailed buckle over the laces, it adds a more biker chic feel to your outfit. These shoes are amazing for walking, I wore them all around New York when I went! *cry inside NYC withdrawal symptoms* I recommend investing in a good pair of walking boots. Don't opt for a heeled pair, especially if you are new to heels.

Finally, These boots are my love. When I saw them it was most defiantly love at fist sight! I adore the rose gold zip on the front, Although, once I was working for four hours (on my feet) in these shoes, and by the end of my shift I thought I was going to collapse my feet hurt so much, so most definitely don't wear these on a day you are doing lots of walking!

Love,
SophieRosie
